mallory distributor question. i got one for my a. my old dist. has a one piece shaft. will the stock 2 piece drive from an a engine work with the mallory dist?

 

Fastest time so far 10.158 @ 68 MPH 1/8 the mile.

I'm fiddling with a Demon 98 carb on my Model A banger.
Does the Demon 98 side bowl gaskets interchange with Holley gaskets?
If so, which Holley carb gasket?

The '27 in the left lane was a "B" motor also with a little help (turbo). Mancias?

I was looking for CDO in the pits but never found him.

well im back on the banger team
31 vicky
plans are pretty simple
drop the front with 33 axle perches spindles and reversed eye spring
drop the rear with a t spring and a few leafs removed
engine is getting a cam head intake header and ignition
and she got new shoes today too

Thanks for the ride CDO, I had planned on running my car. Ordered a new crank in February Got a refund of my deposit last week along with apologies but that don't make the car run!

What Is that cam you have in your engine? Like the sound!

Looking for shop that can straighten my old crank It mags good now but might not after straightening. Could be ground 020 to centers and be straight and clean but who grinds to centers anymore? #4 seems to be off and I think it is in the web, sound familiar? We put it on V blocks and it showed .008 off at center main so put it on the press and bent it back to .0015 - but checked next AM and it was out .0035 at center. So thats when I put it between centers

 

Yes, that was the Mancillas modified. Flathead B with a turbo.

Were you trying to buy a Scat crank? Was it something other then standard stroke?


The cam is a Brierley M-28 T.
