A most excellent brake related pun, I love it.

Or did you really mean to type "caliber" instead?;)

Around here it's hard to tell if it is sophisticated humor or a misspelled word.

Just to throw a serious spin on this (lest I become a dick) I just checked Scarebird's web sight and 145.00 will buy you a pair of disc brake brackets that use '90s Lincoln discs and Celeberty calipers. In other word about 250.00 and your back on the road with a brake set up that might just keep you from getting killed in todays traffic...

But then isn't there the cost of a new MC with a booster and all the extra work?

Plus I really wanted this to be a 100% stocker

  11. ... and here I thought when I opened up this thread the OP was gonna say he worked at DMV .....

BTW did the OP ever say if he was trying to stiff his boss out of a free brake job or not? If that was the case the employee is lucky he didn't get tossed also! LOL

I don't know why you would want a booster, but yes I would go to a new master as well, although you could probably pull the residual check out of the stocker and use externals for this deal too. I myself wouldn't drive around a city of any size these days in a dead stock car that size with drum brakes. But if it makes you feel any better it says that it will clear stock wheels.

" My name is still in the system...because yes I was going to pay for it. "

That means that (even though you're an EE) you're a 'paying customer'. The shop lost your parts-now they have to replace them. Tell your manager "we lost a customers drums and need to comp. them a new replacement pair".

FWIW, I work with some idiots too. There's a lot of that going around!

So are you drunk or did you mean drums? Or maybe you need drums, bearings and seals and you are drunk also. This thread is a hoot other than the missing brakes of course.

I got a set of drums that came of my 54 Plymouth Wagon, should be the same.

Btw. I had Discount tire loose a wheel and trying to give me back some 80's mag wheel...
