Any 54 Chrysler owners out there?? I just picked up a nice 54 Chrysler New Yorker that has a few mods done to it already... Has anyone seen a custom 54 Chrysler?? I would like some ideas! What did you do to yours?!

I filled all the body molding holes and made roll pans front and rear. Gonna make it a driver. Found out the spitfire six had a bad valve, head and piston. So we pulled it and its getting a 383 sbc ..... Just as beater

From what shows in the pic it looks like the "typical" body stuff has been done. Still have the Hemi? If so you need to spend time in the Hemi Tech Index. Probably could use a modern 727 tranny & a modern rear axle.

No, the Hemi is long gone.... For now, ive got a running 305 with a nice can/intake/carb and a turbo 350 trans. I just want to get it on the road!

What do you guys think of the stock headlight bezels?

    Looks good so far!
I like the possibility of molding the the upper bar to the hood, thus extending it. (Hirohata Merc style.)

I've never seen a '54 New Yorker, but I see the engine every time I'm in the barn :) Find one of these, it should fit perfect! Hell, maybe this one came from your car, serial number shows it from a '54 New Yorker!

This car is just begging for some DeSoto teeth from a 53 or maybe even transplant the whole grill. Should fit your front or maybe transplant the whole clip?
Love the tail lights, Cool car

Just found this thread. I've got a '54 Windsor Deluxe that I am slowly progressing on body/rust repair. I love these cars. Yours is looking good.

I kinda like the bumpers the way they are, sticking out a little. It pulls your eye down low which helps with a lowered custom and keeps your eyes away from the trunk opening reveal which is also good because it seems to be a bit higher than most other models. These cars were made to be customs:)
