Only if you go by yourself. Debbie is forgiving, but she won't understand the conditions there. Can she sleep in the car, shower at the truckstop, and eat hamburgers from the truck every day? Can't wait to go back in '14!

After going last year, my 11 year old son says "dad, we need to get the camper done build a motorcycle with a side car, get a hitch for mom's car so she can pull us out here, and come back and set a record". I wish he knew how to pay for it all. I did buy a rule book and may be back with a car before I die yet. The 130 club at the World of Speed may be more the aim though. Can't wait to go back to Speed Week, but it will be 2014 for me as well. I swear racing is the worst drug out there. If you kick one addiction, you come across one that hooks you deeper and costs more money.

I like the way your kid thinks. You should listen to him. He knows.

Big plans for a little man for sure. He had all of his logic staight of why we needed to do it this way. I even started looking for a class to run in and looking for a bike. Tyler them started talking about how he was going to ride to school when he got his license and have the fastest thing in the lot. That's when mom pulled the rug. She hasn't said no to a rear engine modified roadster though. Hmmmm.

Not if you want to celebrate your 36th with that same woman. All kidding aside, there's somewhat of a night life away from the salt just down the road in Wendover on the Nevada side.....honeymoon suites available:D

Here are some teaser shots to wet your whistle. I went out there today to check on the salt and make sure it didn't go anywhere. :)
It's still a little wet but will be good to go come race time.

These are taken right on the salt entrance from the end of the paved road.
It saddens me to see how many doughnut tracks there are along the main road out. Pretty tore up in some spots.
