  1. The disc brake kit fit the stock heavy front axle?(or are the front axles the same as a 3100?)

  19. ...got sidetracked from workin on my 48 F-1; now workin on this 50 GMC 1/2 ton; cab and sheetmetal from a 1 ton grain truck and bed and rear fenders from a truck made into a 2-wheel trailer; bout ready to weld in a front suspension...just got the cab floor repaired...

    UPDATE:...here it sits now, up for sale if anyone is lookin for a project, Chevelle front suspension, steering column in, etc, with good title, askin $3500...

    My daughters and myself a week after getting her put back together and taking them to there first drive in, surprisingly took 2nd in the truck division lol. It was a good way for them to see not just daddy likes old shit. The wife wanted a photo so here it is.

    This is one my Pops got on the road yesterday. He brought it over here today so I could adjust his transmission line PSI and help with a idle issue. I built the trans and gave him a cam and lifters for it, otherwise he did everything on the truck other than 2 exhaust bends and crimp the fitting on the pressure hose for the power steering. All done in a 2 car garage over about a year of actually working on it....

    :confused:...Question for anybody with an answer; I own a "57"Chevy Window Delivery (having no documentation,there were supposedly only "92" built for the Government).Mine was a Forestry Vehicle.Built in Oakland,Ca..I may have read, or was told that "Sedan Deliveries" were considered "Trucks"!? Could someone PLEASE HELP ME with this question...and is it true only "92" were built!? :confused:

    Great looking truck - love the tri-power "W" motor. But I'd drop tyhe front bumper down about three inches lower than the front wheel spindle, either by lowering the suspension or altering the front bumper / brackets themselves.


    Or maybe that last shot is sans engine???
