  2. @HRP: That looks like one that was eBay about a month or so ago. Don't remember if it sold or not. Very nice looking ride, though.

whats the difference between the "station wagon" and the fordoor?

Ive heard guys call the four door a "station wagon", but I have seen "woody wagons" also....

Im assuming the "woody" was the wagon, and the standard or deluxe fordoor was the "four door". But, Id like to confirm.

Also, I wanted to bump this thread...I've been "this close" to buying a body Ive known about for a couple of years...

Woody, station wagon, same thing. These vehicles are called station wagons because they were used to pick up people at train stations and bring them to hotels, inns, etc.

They are referred to as Woodies, well, because of all the wood work.

Station wagons have the back tailgate.

  8. I was just reading this thread...... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=751474&highlight=32+fordor and thought since thread has been asleep for a year it would be nice to wake it up!

I sure like this one from New Zealand!

yES, WINTERLEAF BROWN LIGHT, WITH WINTERLEAF BROWN MEDIUM BELTLINE

  13. My plans were for it to be full fendered (new Brookville fender sets are in the boxes above the Fordor) powered by a 327 5 speed on a Kiwi Konnection chassis I have for it. Its chopped 2 3/4" with the posts leaned back like a '34 and I'll have to make my own top irons since I don't have any stockers and new ones are way over two grand. It will be a big project so it is way down on the list.

  14. Stumbled across this in an old e-mail account. I don't have any information other than the name of the file which indicates it was at CHRR '07

Heres an update on mine, a couple months ago was the GSTA rod and custom spectacular indoor car show and i was putting a freinds 31 chevy survivor in the show and figured i really should have 2 cars in so i drug my 32 fordor survivor hot rod in the shop and did some mocking up of the motor (blown 324 olds) and trans (lasalle) and to put some different tires on it too. basically get all the parts ive collected for it together and make it look cool to get stoked on working on it again.

Nice job Jeff...I like the direction you are headed with that car. The dash was a big improvement...

I did a few "upgrades" to my Fordor. Cleaned up the old 221 flathead and added some parts along with old chrome Guide 903's and a P-Wood dropped headlight bar...

Man, just when I think I'm over more-door envy... Nice ride, Neal.

I just went to Minneapolis craigslist and the only one I can find is a two door. does anyone know of a fordor for sale anywhere

  25. Look again, its there but is way down the list. It's very rough, not complete and in pieces. I'd keep looking for a better one.

Found it thanks. I am looking for more of a complete car or body

  27. When I started this thread in 2008 I never dreamed I would end up selling my 4 door sedan or that there were so many guys that loved the only 32 that was at one time considered nothing more than a parts car by many.

The positive note is the car is now in Tokyo and the new owner loves the car. HRP

Here is my Fordor that I just finished. Took it on its first voyage to Deuce Days in Victoria BC. Build was by Brizio. Interior by Sid Cheavers. Paint by Darryl Hollenbeck. Hope you enjoy.

32 more door is definitely on the bucket list. I love a good 4 door and I like the challenge of making them cool.
