found in the attic, what is it? please help

my friend was cleaning out their attic and found these up there.. they look link some kind of baffle.. i figured someone might know what they are.. it could be a good start to some lake headers or something...
any guesses?

 

Those are the extrusion heads off the power froster used in decorating the "Eat Me" parade float in the Animal House movie.

Don't know what they are, but they look like real good ones.

I think you've answered your own question. they look like quick detachable mufflers. could have been farm use. they do look home made. and why would someone save them if they didn't work??

Thats what I was thinking when I saw them too. How far do the baffles go in? Do they twist as they go down?

I htought they were muffler bearings.

Gear heads???? Oh Come on!!!! Those are snow making nozzles, you can clearly see the mixing section on the second picture, your're missing the air water section that they attach to the rest of the machine...........geezzzzz....

Doc Brown's flux capacitor ?

 

Those are glasspack blanks with tabs welded on. I used to buy 6 at a time. I can't tell you why a stub tubing connector was never welded on the ends so that it could be clamped on. The blanks were sold to muffler shops so that the shop did not need to stock hundreds of mufflers. They could weld on the nipples at the required angles. I have no idea what they were working on but that is what they are.
