Carburator linkage

I need one of these . If you could give me a part number or sorce of one I'll treat you to a liver and onion milkshake and a pomagranet sandwitch.

Have you looked at the Ace hardware?

 

You could make one in about 10 minutes.

 

something like that I would make. I have a lathe and a mill, and I also have a smithy combo machine for small work. That was the most useful purchase I ever made. It's great for small parts like that, and it's more precision than you would think. Ken

 

Chrysler used something similar to that the on kickdown linkage on their late 60s/early 70's cars.

 

They used those on military jeeps. Not sure of the thread size/#, though.

Thats easy for you to say. The only machiene in my shop is a prill press.

 

Any chevy from 60-70's would have them, try a Dorman/Help rack at napa.

 

Funny you said that I tried the parts counter and the Dorman rack with no luck. The parts guy wanted make model and year.

Thats all you need. Cut off a piece of 1/2 or 3/4" bar stock, drill a hole crossways adn in the end. Tap. Install a bolt or all thread, and away tou go. Or drive your happy ass to Bullhead and I'll make you one

 

I have almost the exact same part on my carb linkage on my 1967 Mustang. Take a look at some Mustang parts catalogs, or give one of them a call, or check a boneyard. Good luck.

I know what you mean, the new parts guys are good if you need a cabin filter for your lexus.

you could have chucked a pice in drill press and a file and made it

Like I said, drill press is pretty much all you need. You could make it out of round stock or rectagular bar.

 

I've had the best luck finding stuff like that in Kingman at Kingman Auto Supply on Airfield.
