It was a good time, nice pics, I'd say you got very good coverage of what was at the show. All of the surfboards that went up for auction brought good money I thought while I was in there. Thanks to everyone that bought some artwork from me and supported the auction. Its for a great cause!!

I believe this car belongs to HAMBer Plowboy13. He is from Iowa...well California, but he lives in Iowa. He has some photos of it on his HAMB profile.

Thanks for posting - this is typically the only way I get to see the cars that are at the show..........
every year it seems there is too much going on to stop and check out some of the sweet rides that show up.
I know there were other guys at the show that are here on the HAMB - hope they can post some pix as well.
Thanks for battling the snow, rain, and 25 MPH gusts of old man winter all day Friday. We apologize for not getting on the track.... We have some plans in the works to make sure we get on the track for years to come......

  17. 1.) Great show
2.) Even though I trailered, we drove through a blizzard, freezing rain, regular non-stop rain, passed 3 DOT salt / plow trucks and finally through some mud holes to get there. My "new" Plymouth isn't new anymore, but it was worth it.
3.) I hope the Drag Racing has a better turn out next year. I spectated because my car has only 90 miles on a brand new engine. People need to know that the "tech" process was VERY easy to get through. Next year, I'm bringing a helmet!

  18. Oh yeah, almost forgot.......
Does anybody have a picture of that freaky clown dude that was there Saturday night at the outside music? I was too scared...........

John, I have one suggestion for you - bigger entrance signs - like where to go. 4x8ft and obvious up above everything. One maybe 100yds before the first entrance that has arrow directions for each gate.

The 3 foot signs standing right next to the gate are easy to miss or your already passed. It's not just your show, but most big weekend shows of any kind. Drivers are confused, asking directions, blocking traffic, driving in circles...

Then again, maybe you did have decent sign-age, I got there about 10:30 Friday and could only see out 1/4 of my fogged over windshield by then. So luckily followed a car ahead of me that was going to the show.

The only other stuff that sucked for me was from the rain, camping on a muddy hill, no breakfast, and well, being wet and cold. Maybe I'll volunteer next year.

Sam Fear - we would love for you to volunteer! And yes - we are going to use some larger signs next time. We will be changing a few things. Of course we have to sign the contract first, but overall I think the changes will be accepted by the fairgrounds. One of those changes will be better signage!

Awsome photos. I didn't get to leave my booth much to check out the cars so it's nice to see some of what I missed. Thanks for including some of the custom painted surfboard tins.
