Were can I get good hard rubber mounts for the hurst brackets? My 303 is too heavy for the softer rubber ones.
I've heard of guy using rollers for boat trailers for mount rubbers,or even semi truck shock mount rubbers,
V8 Bob is right ,Chassis Engineering sells the best ones I have found. Another great feature about their mounts is they use a standard 7/16 bolt, instead of the shouldered large head OEM type, that can come in handy if you should need to elevate the engine. You can install a spacer between the pad and the mount, and install a proper length bolt.
I don't know if they are all made with the same inferior rubber or not, but I used boat roller sections as bodymounts on a vehicle and they needed replacing in LESS than a year! Split and crumbled badly due to UV rays I assume. (The mounts were at the body edge) You would figure something designed(?) for full time exposure to the sun wouldn't have that problem. Then again, they may not all be low quality like that.
Was just going to say that. I'm using a pair of biscuit style mounts I bought from So-Cal with my Hurst front mount.
Anyone know if there is any companies making them out of urethane like the grant mounts Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
