Frame width should be the same, 36 inch across the the crossemember. Acording to chevy old manual projekt.

The crash box is seized up, so I will throw it out.
The plan is to use a Volvo straight six standing under my shop bench, to keep the price down on the whole projekt. Another low budget build.
I haven't found many dual rear ends, but you wouldent use that rearend in the picture. Can you see what that end is?

The plan is to use a cab from and old Volvo truck. The one I found is of a BE-GE cab, the cab that sat on most Volvo trucks from 50-70. Try Google Volvo Viking, Titan or N88.

I would prefere the art deco cab, but I've only found a hood as yet. But still looking out for art deco stuff.
What is the BCD on these truck in the front? 5 lugs

I cannot tell from photo what diff that is,
and not sure what you mean by BCD..
I searched the volvo stuff, pretty cool,
just be wary of the coe style,
since that would be a lot more work,

    BCD means Bolt Cirkel Diameter.

    I'm not going COE.

Yeah, thats the one i used. It only States that it's 5 lugs in front and 10 lugs rear. 7 1/4 BCD.
    Does that mean 5x7 1/4 and rear 10x7 1/4?

I would say that if you measure from two non adjacent studs on the front, that is the measurement you get, 7 1/4 inch, so it would be like saying, 5 on 7 1/4 ..
Rear might be different, could be a std 10 lug, but I dont know for sure,
hopefully someone else will chime in,,

Wow. That's pretty rough. Might make a better planter than a work truck.

Rough is 15 years ago LOL.

But frame is good, I found good axels for it.

I only need frame and ID tags/frame no. Since rest is junk, no need to worry. I love Art deco trucks!

Im trying to find the RPM my motor is gonna run, to do that I need to know how long there is around a 7.50x20 tire. The formel for this stuff would be nice too.

If some of you guys is totally sharp on this maters, rearend is 5.43.1.
Its a rearend of a 1952 AD Truck with dual rear tires.

    7.50-20's are about 36 inches tall. Here is a formula for you (60 mph x 340 x 5.43 gear ratio / 36 inch tall tires) = 3077 rpm.

Or you can just use this link http://www.wallaceracing.com/calcmph.php

you can see some of the floor in the truck, aluminum (5/8"fuel line) heater core lines that goes into the cab. running lights are turned on in one pic.

If I may give you some advice, if you plan on driving it a lot,
dump that cast iron power glide and change to a turbo 350,
u will get 3 speeds, and a lighter case, and better cooling,
cast iron retains too much heat,
    Love your truck,

Hi Novadude55, thanks for the comments, the plan is to swap out that powerglide in the near future(?). It is a tank but it sure works great for now. I am planning a 610 mile roadtrip to Rapid City, SD this July. I need to buy an adapter plate to mate the 235 to the turbo 350. Regards...Steve

After being in the shop for almost a year, I finally got my truck back. A lot more work was supposed to be done, but at least it got painted and the tank moved to the back. I will say I'm satisfied with the paint. I chose British Race Car Green and Black.

I know this may be a little off subject but does anybody have pics of the door rubbers and pinch welds installed on the doors and cab ? I can't seem to find any, I'm fixing to paint inside mine and was wondering what they look like. do these seal up very good or do they leak water and air bad
