The pipes sticking out the back of that green one look big enough for a turbine engine.

Here's my wife's '64 Classic 770. It has a late model 258, 904 auto, 3 link rear suspension, PDB, PS, AC and a hidden Ipod stereo system. Figured it was time that I built her a nice cruiser.

when I was a kid my Mom drove one of these. red with a black interior. I remember the round headlights and it was a "post" car. might have been 1966 or earlier. we seemed to go through a lot of cars in the 60's. I think my dad kept crashing them.

what years did they make these?

"Ramblers as trad rods or customs"

Modern day built Ramblers (built in a traditional style) or,
Ramblers built in the 50's-early 60's as a Rod or Custom? Big difference.

While there's been some contemporary built Custom Ramblers (bagged, etc.). I bet there were very few chosen and built in the 50's-early 60's as a Rod or Custom (ie; featured in a little pages magazine). Ramblers were always pretty much Grandpa cars and you wouldn't be caught dead in one.

Bla bla bla Grandpa bla bla bla ugly bla bla bla SBC bla bla bla 4door bla bla.

Now that all the bullshit's out of the way, post more pictures of these cool old cars regardless of what gets 'em down the road. If there's pistons under the hood and it's vintage steel, 2 doors 4 doors wagons whatever... I'm in.

OK. So i am a big dummy. But what i see is a really nice dead stock looking Rambler quartoport, that has been really lowered. I didn't like them when they were new and still think they are ugly. I'm sure the owner likes it and that's fine. But aside from being low, what is so great about it?

  25. GREAT quote!

  26. It would be so much easier if we just had a LIKE button here when I see a post like this!! Anyway you look at it that thing is still Butt Ugly, and not in a good way

There are some out there that find a nice Rambler on the cheap and are able to get into this hobby of old cars. Ramblers were good cars back in the day and still are. Do we need a lesson on the 1957 Rambler???

We have changed from a "traditional hot rod" forum to an "old car" forum?? Did I miss a memo or something???
