I had this one a few years back as a daily driver. If I can call it a custom, it was a very, very mild one.

Paint was more a greeny grey than the photo shows, flake on the wheels, shaved trim, dropped about 5 inches. In it's later years copped a inj motor for drivability.

Why not? How many Ramblers do you see vs. comparable cars from the big 3? I think any car from a fallen manufacturer is worthy of saving.

I wish it were mine. I met this guy and his wife last year at a few shows. If I remember correctly it may have a different frame under it. It's super cool looking in person. I don't think I've ever seen a 4 door Rambler get so much attention, but this one is well deserved. It certianly draws people in and the owner and his wife have a lot of fun with the car. Hopefully it will be at Torque Fest in Iowa.

Here's mine (actually wife's driver soon). Bought from "Toast" on here. Very nice body, glass and trim - engine, as we knew, was eh, toast ;- )

So, sent off to FatMan for a complete suspension front rear. Plus a 5.3LS/4L80E, disc brakes, etc. Next, wiring, paint and interior.

    Rendering is the goal.
