Sounds really nice with the cam lope and megaphone exhaust. I like, I like, I really like, but I think you are going to have a rough ride on those little bitty steel front wheels with no rubber. It does get it low...

With all the power this new engine will put out, the front wheels will never be on the ground. :D;)

Craze....... I collect stuff no one has ever seen. The machine allows me to build engines, bag, and store them till needed. Then spin them once more and install em......

I know I wasn't thinking it through  now that you point it out. That is why I wear bright.

I got my Powergen today and since my best ideas are borrowed, and you have been through it once before, would you mind posting a close up of the mount that you built to get the V8 mounting on the Powergen adapted to the B engine unless it is patented or copywritten ?

Had to listen to the engine one more time.

The holes were plugged. It had an F-head OHV on it, like a Roof or Riley.

Please forgive me if this is a beginner question that does not belong here but; I will need to drop the oil pan on my 30 Tudor soon, the oil plug bung is spinning with the plug
Anyway while the pan is off is there a way to check a pump other than install it and check it with a gauge? I am asking because I have an extra motor that I will be borrowing the pan from and while I'm doing this I thought if the pump from the donor motor is better then I would use that one.
The pump I am currently using has 7lbs+ at startup then down to 2lbs when warm at a high idle and almost 0 on the gauge at idle when warm.

Looks good Bill. What did you use for filler rod on the cast iron?

I'm interested to hear this set up. Is it going in a stock bodied car?

T on a model A it will have a log style intake with my thick flanges to go with it.
MG200 tig rod was used. They are both used repops one welded real nice the other busted my balls it couldn't take much heat ( junk cast steel) I hope they hold. They sat for a hour in the grill at 600 deg. They didn't crack when cooled. Wish me luck.
I did a test set 2 years ago with some junk stock ford and they welded a little better but I could never run them because I fly cut them to get them flat and clamps hit my side cover. I should have started with nicer ones.

I was told my car had a set up like this in 1956 and 7 but I never found them in the barn.

    Thanks Steve....

  25. Just about to pull the engine to hopefully solve the rear main leak - pressurised engine with a Burtz rear seal that wasn't fitted by me. Hey ho. If it leaks again THEN it's my fault!

Thought I'd share a picture of the new carb arrangement. Still have a little plumbing to do but it ran lovely on one of these so why not try two...?

  26. Anyone have the details for the guys who provide the F150 trans conversions?
Just working out either to go T5 with a crazydadyo adapter and then shorten the T-tube, or one of the F150 kits.

I know Ken Parker does one that I saw in the SOSS recently, despite the write up saying 8-10 weeks order time, I got a reply saying sorry bigger priorities wait to Xmas!

    Thanks guys

My 2 cents go with the 5 speed.
The gear split in the f150 box is like stock 3 speed and I hate the stock gear split
