Nice Pics. I had a great time. My first year there and loved every minute of it. Booked for next year already and theres a strong possibility that theres will be a couple Vagabonds driving there from Wisconsin! Great show!
Looks like the Custom community is well represented here, so thought I better throw up pics of a few Hot Rods. This '36 Roadster was tough lookin', from stance and chop, right down to the 429 Boss mill ! Johnnie.
the 34' three window - 36' roadster with 429 BB ford, the red 59' elco on the previous page, and the 62' ford 406 four speed that rolled in were my all time favorites. don't know much (but learning) about the early speed parts but alex said the 34' had ultra rare aftermarket parts on it. anyone that says there wasn't rare or quality cars at viva didnt attend!
Those are first pattern Halibrand "smoothies". Race car wheels for sure in their day. The Eighteens on the back are especially desirable, the 15x4 1/2's on the front are not too shabby either. Johnnie.
Yeah, that '36 Roadster called out to me, sort of the same way Jelly Doughnuts do ! Could this be why ? .....Hot Rodded pics soon to be seen on the HAMB. Johnnie.
Great pics JW. That 36 and the 34 were definately my favorite's. Can you imagine rolling down the interstate in a Boss 429?
I agree!~ "This '36 Roadster was tough lookin', from stance and chop, right down to the 429 Boss mill!"
