Just stumbled on here but love it! Lots of great ideas and good help! Owner of a 1958 Edsel Pacer 2-door
Welcome. If you need any help with the Edsel, let me know. I work on the teletouch systems and rebuild the shifter motors and relays. Also have some parts as well if you need them.
Very nice! Thanks! Don't need anything right now, car is sound and runs pretty good. Just need to get under the dash and figure out the Dial - a - temp and the windshield wipers.
Probably should PM a moderator ... something is wrong, the "guest" status is a new one on me! Oh and welcome. I have alot of ancestors off Victoria Road in Alpine.
The heater servo motor can be a bit complicated. I rebuild those as well if you need it. If you need any help with yours, let me know. They are commonly burned up though. Same with your wiper stuff, let me know if you need anything. Good luck.
Welcome from Durango, Colorado. My sister lives on Victoria and my nephew lives right off Victoria. Congratulations on the new one. Hope all is well. Easy birthday to remember.
My oldest was borne at grossmont... the other at Mission Gorge Kaiser... by the way I mentioned my ancestors ... they are buried at the cemetary on Victoria. LOL
The dial temp is mechanical. As you turn it, a cable wire in the back of it moves a switch on the heater servo motor. The heater servo motor is a large item with an electric motor. The cable moves a switch which tells the motor to turn which will move many small arms with cables attached going out to the heater components. It's an odd but pretty complicated system. Very cool though. If you have any other questions, let me know.
I will for sure, thanks for the input. I need to get under there and look around because mine doesn't change from floor to defrost and I think the 160 t-stat is too cold for the heater to work.
Let me know if anything. I don't check on here all the time, so if you need help, feel free to send me a private message.
