My wife and I Spent spring break in the Carlsbad, New Mexico area...long story short, I stumbled onto this Model A seat base and rear sheet metal along the Pecos River where my Grandfather used to farm back in the day when that part of the land was rich and fertile...my Pops walked around the area and found the rest of the Model A in a Ravine...so I dragged it about 50 yards and we loaded it onto my truck and I brought it home to Kansas...Pops says there was only one house by this spot and he knew the man who lived there...maybe it was his Model A...should I keep it as yard art or sell parts off of it?
I'll buy one of the radiator support rod brackets off you. My 29s missing one and I don't want a stainless repop. I'd yard art it.
You could save it if you wanted to. Its a great way to practice your skills, you can only make it better. I have a door that I plan on fixing someday just to say I did, its a little worse off than your cab! That cab back is more solid than the one on my AA, I would definitely try and fix it!
Weld some bracing in so it looks closer to a truck, list it on CL for $600 (rat rod). That's almost a $1 a hole.
I don't know if it is a truck cab or not... Yup a 41 coupe that belongs to a friend...got to get a 216 installed and out of the way so I can start on my 46 Chebby Fleetline Fastback...got all the OG goodies for it...visor...skirts...bullet cooler...safety star...vent shades...artillery wheels...fenton finned valve cover and intake manifold with fuel block...and on and on!
Mirror bracket, cowl rail,dash rail and cowl posts with hinges are about all that is usable in my opinion. Too bad the mirror is gone I could use one like what was originally on there.
It's actually a '28 or '29 "AA" cab judging from where the rear window is in the back panel. Take it home and hang onto it, ya never know whem you'll find a cab cheap that is in better shape but missing this and that that this cab has. In a pinch I'd build from that 'cause it looks like the sub frame might just save. Also remember Howell's has all the cab back sheet metal, door patches, and the windsheild header available for not too much money.

tons of great parts !! i had to make the brackets that rivet the A pillar and subrails together since they do not reproduce them !!
It's a Model A truck cab. How cool is that? Do some research...and read all of Flops threads..... and dive in. Fix that beast. You've got nothing to lose and a wealth of experience to gain. And if by chance, you give up before you're done, you should be able to sell it. Oh, and have fun.
Cowl posts, cowl rail, dash rail,body subrails and mirror bracket all have some value. The rest is too far gone for most to work with. Rod
I am gona do some research on who might have owned this...my cousin's great uncle lived near the area way out in the sticks where I found this...
I say build it, at the least you've got a hard to find dash rail & door hinges, if the rear window is really high up it should have ford script stamped in it above window, that was the high back earlier 28 pickups.
