I've been working on a 1927 Chrysler. It was a four door hard top, I'm making it into a two door roadster. It will be powered by a SBC with a 700r4 and a 9 inch. I built the frame form 2x4 tubing. I has a superbell frount axel with split wishbones. I am currently tracking down Stewart And Werner gauges. I trying my best to keep it very traditional. Just wanted to start this thread finely. I will post pictures soon.

  2. Cool but youre gonna get a LOT of hate for the sbc. It doesnt have to be a hemi but most will tell you it should have a motor from mother mopar.

    & pics are nice

It crossed my mind. My 31 pu has a 241 hemi. I was originally going to build it as cheap as possible. Plus it has no Chrysler badges or anything. I'm working on the pics. First thread I'll get there.

NOTHING wrong with the SBC, especially the look you got going. Tell them you're taking donations from everyone that doesn't like your choice so you can get what THEY want...

Ha ha thanks, I was wondering what I was getting myself into. Feeling better about it now. First build didn't want it to be too hard, I know those old hemi's can be hard to find parts for. They are bitchin though.

I really like that...nice work, too. How are you going to handle the space in back of the seats? Will it be like a roadster pick-up? Also, are those wheels Mopar donut spares? They look very similar to mine.

Thanks man! Yes, it will be kinda like a pick up. The seats will have to be right against the kick up. There is actually quite a bit of room. My wheels are 1940 ford steelies with smaller tires then most people run. I had to do that because I wanted to run the rear axle in the original spot. Big tires would have interfered with the door. The wheels are 16x4. ImageUploadedByTJJ1364387512.563872.jpg
