Here's a couple I had saved. It's amazing how few T's you see with fenders.

    Mine too!

The one on the left is Gabby Garrison's car, and it is about the slickest Gow Job type full fendered car I have ever seen. Mine will use a bit of the ellements of that car, just a bit updated. The touring I saw in R&C a couple of years ago and it blew me away! I'm also going to incorporate some of it's "mildly" smoothie attributes too.

cool thread. thinking back to all the Center door T sedans I have ever seen I am begining to believe they came with Jag rears from the factory.

I would take a full fendered stock top 26 T coupe over a chopnchanneled one any day.

I think I can help you with that.... The vintage photo I'm not sure of, but I'm told it's the earliest photo of what was called a "Cut-Down". 02-02-2009%2007;03;37PM.JPG 02-02-2009%2007;05;53PM.JPG 02-02-2009%2007;06;54PM.JPG 02-02-2009%2007;07;54PM.JPG 02-02-2009071018PM.jpg cutdownts.jpg gabby.jpg

    Great pic's, thanks for sharing.
I hope you will be running front brakes.
    I see Gabby was not...

Errrrrr..... original "T"s had their brakes on the trans. The brakes you see on Gabby's car are an accesory called "Rocky mountain brakes". You don't see any drums on "T" based "T"s very often.

I share your love of fendered T's and am enjoying this thread. Alan Kahan is a friend of mine, and I love to see his coupe when he brings it out.

Three cars come to mind that have not been mentioned yet. The first I can't show, because I have never seen a picture of it, but it was a pip. The late Bud Hand, a foreign car mechanic and traditional hot rod guy in WLA, had a '26/27 coupe that he drove for years. Stock height top & full fenders, pale grey paint with a darker grey reveal, disc wheels with some rubber rake. The engine was a 21-stud flatty with an early centrifugal blower -- don't recall if it was a Frenzel or a McCulloch. Wonderful!! (If anybody has a picture of Bud's coupe, please post it!)

2nd, this excellent chopped-but-fendered coupe by Joe Mac:

And finally, this old sweetie that shows up at T events in SoCal every so often. V8-60 powered and with later running gear, it looks like an old '38 donor car gave up everything so this coupe could live:

Oh, and how about this? A fairly recent construction from Pete Eastwood:

There is another one that I'm not finding on my computer, but it doesn't have the fenders on it, so it's OT for this thread.

    Man...me too....

Chip, speaking of Don Marks, the T sedan he built with the Chevy 4 cylinder. Bridgewater had it for a while. Do you have any pics of it? Pretty neat car.

Yep, this one reigns pretty damn supreme in my book.

I've got paper of that one Jim, but nothing on the computalatin' lookie machine... Sorry, Earlly Squid just took over my brain for a second. I'll have to stop by Don's and see if he has any I can scan, 'cause that car needs to be on here.

I don't think so... I always see a picture of him with a channeled "A" coupe from his early days.

Man, I had an ape-shit weekend. Been tearing my hair out still negotiating on that commercial property. Gonna pretty nuts for the next month, I think. Looks like the "desoto deal" isn't completely dead either, crossing all my fingers and toes...

Yep! Love that truck! I tried to take a picture of it last year at the Walden's open house after about ten Otter pops and was sugar rushing sooooo bad it came out looking like the surface of the moon - if it were black and shiney...

If ever I were to build a so-called "tribute" car, this is the car I'd emulate.
