I'm putting an NV 3500 behind a pre 1986 SBC. I have a pre 1986 Chevy clutch set. Will this work? If not, what will? Any input will be much appreciated.
should be fine I'm running one in my 62, but I've got newer motor. are you going to mount the master cylinder on fire wall? I've done a few of these , they work great.
every thing matches up but i cant suck it up tight when the bell housining is about 1/2 inch from block its already compressing the clutch I have a pre 86 flywheel and clutch set with a 97 nv3500 and throw out bearing
use the correct flywheel for the engine, and a diaphragm style clutch. (takes the short t/o brg). i had one behind a 1960 348 with the same clutch and press. plate i used with a muncie 4spd.
Use a flywheel for a pre-65 sbc that has a bolt pattern for an 11" clutch. Buy a clutch kit for a 1996 ck-1500 with a 4.3 engine. This will bolt up and work with the hyd throw-out bearing on the NV3500.
