  1. I am impressed. Your build motivates me to get my '29 finished.

Builds like yours make the HAMB great, good job on the hood and everything else too.

I have learned a lot, thanks.

The hood adds a lot. Your'e almost home. About the only way to wreck it now is with some over the top paint job.

As you know I dig 28-9 Highboy Roadsters. The full hood IMO is
mandatory and really completes the overall look of the car.
To state you have no talent contradicts the facts. Great job
    on the build. Bob

  14. Are you leaving the hood raw aluminum for now?
I guess I could just wait and see

I hope your roadster is coming along well, Jordan!

A little work each day, whether it be 1/2 an hour or eight hours, and it'll eventually be done!

Thanks, Norm - Can't wait to see your coupe on the road!

Thanks, Tim - hope to see you at Bonneville in August!

Haha... wait 'til you see the shitty splash graphics I have planned ;)

Well, thanks! --- Even without a dropped axle?? :)

    Thank you, Mr. HRP!

Haha.. well, I hope it will never have to be sold.

Thanks --- once I got started on it and kept at it, it really wasn't too bad. I think all of the research and planning how to do it really helped.

Haha! Like your roadster? It sure looks low!

Looking forward to it -- see you there!

Thanks, Bob. I've certainly had alot of help along the way.

For now, it'll stay raw aluminum. Whenever the car gets painted, I'll paint the hood.

Today I helped my friend, Clint, make a tonneau cover. We used Sunbrella black canvas. Also, Larry dropped off the hood sides that he louvered. A couple more steps in the right direction!
    .
Yesterday was also a big day. It's a long story, but with the help of Clint, Jason, Jim, and Lowell, we pulled the body off, engine/trans. out, engine/trans. apart, and replaced the flywheel and harmonic balancer. From a running car, start-to-finish, it took us five hours to rip the car apart and have it back together and running again.

Here's another shot of the tonneau cover. The curve next to the driver matches the right side body curve.

I didn't end up installing a panhard bar on the front. Figured I'd drive it first to see if it needed one and it drives just fine without.

Yes! We got a little more snow this morning -- winter just won't go away! The forecast for the rest of the week looks pretty good, so I'll be able to put some miles on.... hopefully nothing major will need to be fixed.
