    Very Cool
I'm doing a 62 Pontiac Fireball Roberts car but even the original was just paint and a cage compared to this

Can't wait to see it lettered

Lookin brutal but when I saw the title I was really hoping you were going with a sixties style construction. Should be a vicious little street machine when done.

Got quite a bit of work done over the last several weeks...just not much to show for it. The undercarriage has been seam-sealed and painted and I am now putting the suspension bits back on so I can roll it around. The body comes next starting with paint stripping. It may be a while before I have any more pictures to post.

Then you ought to love this one because that is NOT what he is doing. He is building a fresh car that is "street purpose" built but race car inspired. Gotta
love a guy that takes "your" preferences into account with his build when he doesn't even know you.:rolleyes::)

Do you have room for another "I really, really like what you have done here" post? :) Very nice all around, the ingenuity, build quality and well thought out approach.

I had a '63 Sprint for several years and had seriously considered a similar approach, though more in the manner of a Holman Moody style road racer. However, I recently sold that car as I have a full enough plate as it is.

In any case, I am thoroughly enjoying your build and look forward to seeing the finished product. Subscribed!

    Regards,
    Ray

I haven't been really good at taking pictures so I will try to get some and post. I have the suspension back under the car and I'm waiting to media blast the body. After looking at the progress 65Stacked is making on his Galaxie, I'm so ready to start putting this thing back together and getting it on the road.

On a related note: My welder bit the dust last week so I bought a Lincoln Weld Pak 180. It's awesome! Turns out I wasn't a crappy welder -- I owned one. Wish I had done this a long time ago.

Subscribed this is the best classic race car build I've come across on the Hamb lots of fab work , I would like too do a similar project down the road. Plus I bought Stacked65 64 Galaxie country squire that's still in his avatar last year.

Here are a few I snapped today. Not much new to show but there has been some progress. I took the doors off, stripped the paint on the interior sides and covered with a coat of primer. Still have a few seams to seal, strip the paint off the exterior, body work, prep, paint, assembly..... Maybe I'm not as close as I thought.

Still making progress. Still stripping paint... The stripper is worthless. Spend hours burning my nostrils and eyes only to have to take the DA to it in the end anyway.
