I hope I'm not crossing the "year" line here. I pulled this and some others in a Canadian junk yard in the early 80's. I thought it was from a midsize GM but now I see what looks like a Ford part number on the back. Anybody recognize it?

This is one I'm trying to find: Mercury Body Corp, 1919-1926. Yeah, I know, good luck with that...

Not exactly HAMB friendly....this is 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan script on my Navigator. Difficult installation as I had to drill six holes.

  7. That Rickenbacker emblem is killer. I used to be in the 94th Fighter Squadron (Rickenbacker's) a few years ago. I was in that squadron for a few years until they transitioned from F-15s to F-22s. It was very interesting being in a unit with that kind of heritage.

As for the 1961 Dodge Pioneer D500. I have never seen one of those (yep I am a young feller at 39 years young). That has now made it to my list of cars to own. Such a unique looking car.

I am digging on all these emblems. I wish modern car designers would find a way to get back to these wild, diverse, creative styles. I am sick to death of block letters, no hood ornaments, and over all lack of imagination. Yes I know due to DOT safety, we'll never see the return of the outrageous bumpers of the '50's, but we should at least have some flair and creativity int the garnishes on cars.

MORE PICS OF GREAT LOGOS/EMBLEMS please.
