My avatar photo is from May 2006, when I first installed the Chrome Bumper guards. I was messing around taking different shots, when I saw this one I thought that it looked like a up close, extreme magazine cover shot.

When the various forums I visit started allowing avatars, I picked this one.

There was so much junk around the truck I had no idea what condition it was really in. I took a gamble and bought it primarily for the intrigue. I didn't buy a truck as much as I bought an archeological dig. This photo was taken after already clearing a fair amount of junk.

I drove it that weekend after 25 years in hiberantion.

The worst part was the farmer stored bags of fertilizer on the runningboard, so the rocker panel looks much rougher than the rest of the truck.

It's just an old farm truck. Lots of patina, still shows the brush strokes from being painted years ago.

Here is mine. My friend told me he had a "hot rod" sitting in his sister's yard, and he wanted to sell it to me. This is the 20 yr old picture he showed me. I didn't know what a 39 Plymouth looked like, but when I saw this picture, I knew I wanted this car. Hope to dig into it this summer.

That shiny one is older. Maybe a '37? And it is a bigger truck. Mine is a model 201 1-ton pickup. They changed the grill in '38. Mine is a '47. between 1938 and 1949, they only built 7,000 1-ton trucks.

Here's another view of it coming out of the barn after 25 years.

I was visiting Montana in a barely inhabited old mining town and was walking across the street to check out an abandoned relic. Didn't know my buddy snapped the pic. Fortunately, in the avatar it's hard to see the OT vehicles.
