    Do a google on: Operation Crossroads. Lots of info on the two tests but not really appropriate for this thread.

    My mom still has her "R" for Roosevelt High School 1947 Sweater. Looks like the one in this picture. I found her a Yearbook from here senor year a while back.

    I work three blocks away from the Alabama Theater I never knew 3rd Ave had been a two way street. The building on the left with the stone work on the out side is the Lyric theater. Its fallen under into disrepair the stone work and advertising board are no longer there. But there is hope a group is raising money to restore it. The Lyric was built in 1914 and the Alabama was built in 1927.

    I watch zero TV but was walking by my wife watching last night just as Tippi was explaining how the cat almost destroyed Melanie's face. Actors (in general) are true morons but for some reason people mistake their art for their brains.

    If this is the predecessor to the C-124 cargo aircraft (minus the nose radome), that would be one of its engines. Designated as an R-4360 (CI) with four rows of cylinders..read 28 cylinders......times four engines. Lots of cubes!
