There is nothing like being there, but if you are like "mopacltd" (& others) and don't like the crowds or the bad sunburn or any of the other fun stuff that comes with this awesome event..... you can always watch the live feed on www.bangshift.com They do a Great job !!!

Pending the conditions you may get some real good smells!!
There is a compost mixing pad just to the east side of the fence line.
    Usually wind drifts it away.
But you can get can get all the noise , burning rubber and all the others joys to go around.

And also roasting Ham all day Friday at my place.
    HAMBrs welcome

I think I saw on here that it had been tried before with out much success for it is so large and spread out and so much happening.
Maybe Acme Speed Shop will chime in for he is usually rigged up at Ground Zero in the Vendor section. They had one at GNRS

I would offer to host at my bar, but only people with 4 day pass can get in the spectator camping area. :(

But if we get enuff takers we can use my spot.

    I'm not sure?
They just started that couple years ago. Was not enforced much at first.
I dont see why it should matter if you showed up on Friday with a 3 day pass why you could not get in.
You can see here http://tickets.thefoat.com/FamosoRaceway/event-365/March+Meet+2013/ camping pass " occupants" must have 4 day pass?
That would be for people going in on Thursday?

Heading out tomorrow early afternoon. DSLR and Video cameras cleared of previous event stuff, batteries charged and ready for the 4 days. Camping with two friends. None of us have been, so it will be awesome.

That was a tough go, being out there for six days, three of which was in the dirt and mud... Might have to re-think it for next year....

Darnnit ! Missed the pig roast again ! After having to park in the middle of Lake Famoso on the East side of the track ,then having three grandaughters with muddy wet feet to listen to--I find out I can't get there without the proper pass. Live and learn I guess. I figured that was you guys up on the scissorslift ! Despite the conditions we still had fun, left early on Sat., back to the hotel to change clothes and off to the Crystal Palace, Kids had a great time and danced to some pretty good music. Sunday seemed almost deserted but ran into Pop Bradford and Randy " the kid" Bradford and had a great visit with mighty good people. I'm making plans for CHRR .
