Anybody have any pics of Cottons' old T bucket? The one with the flatty and flat black paint. I can't believe that one didn't show up here!

Yeah...there was a FINE little Hot Rod!
Actually...I think you're talking about Bob Knaack's Tube framed Mod that was a twin of Cottons ARDUN powered yellow Modified.

I had a lot of pictures but lost them in the crash of '09...a sad day indeed! :(

Last I heard, someone named Greg Hall (I think!) now owns the Knaack car.
I'd LOVE to get some new pics!!! :D:D

You are correct! My brain tends to go from time to time. I remember a great article on this car in American Rodder some years back. Anybody have any pics?

I did a bit of Googling and I'm really surprised that I didn't find any pictures of the Knaack Modified...and only a few of Cottons!

I can't understand how either of those little monsters can fly so deep under the radar all the time!
Must be some stealth properties in that coat of black paint I guess!!! LoL

Yeah, there we go...thats Cottons with that ARDUN conversion. Man thats one awesome looking engine for that little car!

Bobs Modified, although built using the same basic frame, looked smaller with the flathead and with the black paint, meaner!
Bobs came across as more...competition styled I guess, than Cottons. :D

Had to bump this one back up. I have a chance to get one back that I built for a guy about a year ago and wipe the ugly off of it... I'll keep everybody updated as I go!

Nope, you know Crazy Roy, right? I screwed one together for him last spring and he took it home to do all the make it run stuff... Kinda ugly like. So Judy is in the mood to make the Maverick go away and Roy says "come on over and see what we can trade..." She sat in his '53 and said "too much like Plymouth!". She sat in the T-bucket and almost went round eyed! Sooooooo....

I might. It kinda depends on if we "bond" or not. It was his sellection of parts that I put together as a strong foundation, but not really to my tastes. It is gonna get my American 5-spokes and Hurst Cheater slicks immediately, then some help with the exhaust right thereafter.

Well gang, after five months of back and forth screwing around money wise and trade wise, Judy and I own the bucket that FalconGeorge was alluding to back at the top of the page! I don't even have it home yet, but it may take a bit to do some pictures 'cause it's a bit homely at this point. It won't be a full on, every nut and bolt correct '60s type bucket, but hopefully it will illustrate what you can do with a car that has "good bones" but is "unfortunately" detailed. I'm tossing around starting a thread about this deal so that other can see what can be done with some of the less expensive deals out there.

What you have is just fine, you don' have to follow the trends. Have fun!
