I've got a 66 F100 with a 352 FE in it. I want to lower it an improve ride quality and I've decided i want to clip it. This however has proved a challenge since I want to retain the FE which has a front sump oil pan. I'm curious if anyone has done or even considered putting a Galaxie front clip on an effie. My thinking is that I would get the independent suspension and a cross member made for an FE. Thoughts or input?

    Thanks.

We have put the latter big Ford front frame sections ontoo a couple of the 60-70 F type trucks. The big problem is there width

i'm very familiar with the crown vic swap. i'd prefer not to do it cause the track width is too wide, especially since i'm going for a little tire tuck. plus i've yet to see one done with an FE motor, all the swaps i've seen had an engine swap

one of the best swaps i've seen is the xj6, but again, i've never seen it done with an FE and as far as i know, i wouldn't have clearance

I see then the next sale to you will be the EP Dakota kit buy some of the guys but that will most likely cost just as much.

There is a guy running a 79 firebird front clip on a 66 with a build thread on here. It seamed to be a fine track with looks like it slid rite in to the frame.

late model CV isnt that bad, but you cant run a front sump with it unless you want the motor to sit really high. i dont know much about galaxie, but id measure it up plenty, doing it just because you have it, or because its front sump friendly might bite you in the ass.

The '66 F-100 front end should ride nice with the correct springs and shocks.
