In Austin today it has been crazy windy. I heard a loud boom out back and saw my neighbor's tree straddling my truck. Fortunately it could have been much worse. I suppose it time to learn how to do some real body work.

Everyone else in Austin that doesn't have a garage go check for giant dead trees.

Wow that was close . It could have been worse. Glad you weren't behind it cleaning the rear glass.
A guy I used to know had a mid 60's Olds wagon that had been crushed by a tree . Then it was converted into a El camino .

Had that happen to my father-in-law's early 60's Chevy PU. The roof of the cab was crushed right down to the floorboards.

Close call. It amazes me that home owners will spend major money fixing up a house, but never think to trim the trees.

Be sure to tell us when you are going to be on Judge Judy. :) Sorry about your damage. Hope his homeowners insurance covers it. Take lots of pictures to prove the tree should have been removed, if that is the case.

Damn that could have been a lot worse. At least the truck was not finished.....Good luck.

  17. sorry to hear this....can't tell you how much I've spent trimming and cutting down trees from neighbors next door to my places....I knew it would be a bitch to collect from them so just paid it myself....lucky I have two buds in the tree business....

and that's how I finally got my 50' club cpe shoebox...the neighbors tree fell across it and dented the roof and just behind the back window....only then did they want to sell it....

yup amazing they wont pay shit for tree removal till it lands on your house and costs them a fortune. you would think they would like to spend a couple grand instead of 50 grand.

  19. wow bummer, concedering the size of the tree a few feet over and it might have crused it completly ,.......... good luck with the repair's
