Good looking frame! If it comes apart for storage and you want to change from the 4' W/S header I make a cast aluminum 2 piece header for really easy storage! [email protected]

Y'know, it's really not all that hard to make one! A bunch of 5/8" ID thinwall steel tubing and a big tube bender and trial and error ! The biggest thing is the W/S header , you want to stay away from the 4' long wood one because it's hard to store. I still make a 2 piece cast aluminum header that's custon sized for each customer. We used stock irons and cut them to get the height. Shaved the wood bows to get the profile. Also about 10 rolls of tape to see how it would look before any material was stitched.

  9. Steve, I'm getting all my ducks in a row to have a top put on my 34.

i'm not going to read all the way through this (go ahead; call me lazy). find a pic of C9's. although i'm sure that someone has already posted it by now.

yes, jay has been deceased for several years, but his roadster top is still perfect.

My personal all time favorite! Karl and Vida Orr.
I have a Bob Lee top for my 32 roadster. Lucky to have it.

I love open cars.... But they look so sexy with a top. to me it make the car look like it is in motion when its just sitting there. I can't wait to see the car with a top.

My preference is ROD TOPS far superior in quality, form and fit over all the others I have checked out and with the people I have talked to. My likes of the ROD TOP because there are no snaps on the outside of body, the rear window is easily removeable, the frame works is much stronger than all others plus can be adjusted with cam ecentrics on the hinge joints, stores away easily and most compact. With being used for 5 years and 25000 miles it is still tight and looks great finally, the side curtains are easy to install and remove plus they work very well keeping the weather out. All thumbs up from me and well worth every penny spent on it.

I had some side curtains made for my Bop Top.Simple design, snaps on to three snaps, two on the winshield posts and one on the stanchions. And then three velcrow staps the rap around the side bar on the top.

It's really not that hard, just takes time. I made them out of 5/8" thinwall steel tubing, use a big tube bender, then start fitting it on the car and adjust as required. I still sell the 2 piece windshield headers which are cast aluminum, work great, and come to you sized to YOUR car and completely finished. [email protected]

I made mine in stainless steel flat bar, looks more proper in my opinion.

TOP LOOKS SUPER AND OF A STOCK TYPE, A LITTLE INCH OR TWO CHOP TO THE WINDSHIELD WOULD GIVE A PERFECT ANGLE TO THE FRONT.

    Two more angles of Jack Greiner's 32 from 1947, the top cost $65.00 and the side curtains another $12.00 !!!!! 2013-12-19 094214.jpg 2013-12-19 094545.jpg !
