Shit man if I make it up to maine next year my truck will have seen the entire east coast in two years, with 6 months or so of that time being over here. I think when I left last month I did some math and I think I put 18k on it in a year.

Next time im headed up north ill give you a shout.

well im working on taking all the trim off this weekend. I will be doing the quick scuff and shoot and spray it in flat black. Ill be taking pictures and hopefully by sunday it will be sprayed.

Now im not going for the flat black rat rod look, I got the paint for free and I want the truck in one color. Im also going to polish all the trim up and then clear coat the trim so it should look pretty good.

  8. Truck looks great. Keep plugging away and keep us updated. I have a '66 F-100 long bed I hope to finally have on the road next week.

Im also sitting on a rebel wire 9+3 after I get it in one color!

Phone and computer are acting up so Ill post more later. One lesson learned, dont spot prime a truck like this, blow a coat or two of primer down. I sprayed four coats of the black and it soaked it up like a sponge. Next weekend ill have to hit it with another coat or two.

Nice truck! I have a 65 SWB f100 that i drive everyday also, Is that the stock seat that you had recovered? My stock seat is very uncomfortable after only 30 minutes or so my back starts hurting. I would like to find a better bench seat that still has a original 60's look.

Yes I got a 390:cool: Its almost all done. .30 over 390, big crower cam, worked up heads with CJ valves. I need to put the heads on and measure for pushrods and then buy them. Then out of my few sets of rocker stands rebuild a pair and then its ready to fire off.

Nice truck I'm building a 62 unibody. Just bought a 390 also, but that's another project. Planning on finishing the body and driving it with the 223 for a while. How big of a job is it to take the knobs out of the dash?
