This is the one and only thing I've ever built from frame up. I have owned several old cars & P\Us but never did anything with them.

The curved chrome trim strips above and below the ashtrays of my 40 Ford. They are cool because they are real steel and noone would ever know.

Thanks! It's all put together now, last week finished painting the bed, bolted it on, installed rear fenders and tail lights, (Blue Dots) ha ha! are they even legal? Finished all the electrical wiring, last night put in the tiny bulbs for the gauge lights, piss poor illumination but thats how they were back then. Have YOM plates but haven't been over there to register yet, hope to drive it soon! I did everything myself, even the paint & bodywork, that was not too fun, I will never paint another vehicle, but I can say that I have.

Fordy, that looks neat, nice touch & beautiful dash and interior. What was originally in the ash tray area? just metal & no chrome bars? Hey the next time I get down to see my Brother I'll have to look you up! he lives between Wiles Rd. and the 869 toll road, 66th Dr.

Well that's different, you need to find and old truck cab to put on that thing, looks like you have quite the imagination:confused:, I'm going to swap the cab off my 89 ford Dragster hauler for a 47 cab, i think someone else should go through the same headache I'm going to put myself through:D Tim Jones Before and after I hope:eek:
