Sadly the queen and the government are not the same thing, the government is turning us into a 3rd world nation full of illegal immigrants and scroungers and the queen is just a figure head of a once proud country.

  5. Just a thought ...

Seems a solution might be requiring domestic manufactured energy
sources be required to serve domestic market needs first before
being exported to foreign markets ... ;)

Seems we are approaching or have exceeded domestic crude oil capacity
for storage of what we are getting out of the ground here ...

Also seems we are exporting more than we import as of 2011:

Why are we exporting # 2 diesel to foreign markets ???

Because the profit takers make more money .....

I am pretty fed up with rising # 2 diesel prices,
currently $4.13 a gallon on average nationwide:

According to our President the rich will be taxed more. In two months look at how the gas price has risen. I am middle class citizen and I am expecting my pay this year will be 2500 to 3000 less than it was last year. And I am paying 60 cents more in gasoline with what I drive in a week this will increase the Gas I buy at 10000.00 and my daily driven car gets 27 miles per gallon. Less parts this year.

  9. $3.68 today in Kansas City. So glad that we are betting everything on the generosity of the fossil fuel industry.

Filled up this morning, AUD$1.55 per LITRE thats US$6.20 per US gallon. Saw another servo selling at AUD$1.59 per LITRE (US$ US Gallon).
Add to that over AUD$1000 a year to register a V8..........and they call Australia the lucky country!!!!

  15. I guess you are living in the high rent district Fred..haha.

It beats me why gas is cheaper on the southside and even cheaper on the eastside of Indy compared to the west and northwestsides of town.

    2013
    Average wages per year: $46,326.00

So that's about a 40% increase in relative cost. Sounds like just about everything else.

The most recent "reason" (read that "excuse") for the price going up is 1) two major refineries in Californina burned, so their supply is cut back, hence their higher prices. 2) Hurricane Sandy knocked out some refineries on the East Coast, so there is less production. 3) Usually, some of the refineries shut down for maintenance at this time of year, so they are not producing. But it really all boils down to what one oil company executive said several years ago in a moment of candor: when asked why the price of gas was going up, he responded "Because we can."

A great question would be, "What's the most you'll pay?"

So, I'm asking. Just what cost per gallon would make you park your ride? Not limit your driving, I mean STOP driving completely. How far up your butt would that nozzle have to go, before you said ENOUGH?

If it takes you a while to answer, then you're doing exactly what the oil companies know you'll do. That's why they get away with it. No matter how high it goes, all people do is sit at home and bitch. Then, they get up in the morning and drive to work.

How much would I say is too much to spend on gasoline? Good question, seeing as the nearest town with anything worth looking for is 90 minutes away (Edmonton) and our granddaughter lives in Calgary (3.5 hours drive) it would have to get pretty costly.

  26. 4.30 today for reg .We get to pay more because we live in paradise.

Living and working in a place without public transportation, I don't have a choice otherwise I'll need a horse but riding 40km back and forth? Right now I got a Prius, if it keeps going up I'll need to buy a smaller car with one of them shitty 3 cyl engine that cough barely 50hp...
