The 30+ year old Decatur Swap Meet is this week at the Sheriff's Posse Grounds outside Decatur TX. The best swap meet of the first part of the year down here. Always busy, always something new and different to see. A nice town, friendly folks, good eats and old car parts, what could be better? Weather forecast looks good with 60+ degree days and 30+ degree nights. We'll be up there early on Thursday. Friday-Saturday is best, Sunday doesn't happen anymore.
Gotta work all weekend, dammit. Didn't find anything at Conroe last weekend to get my AV8 project started... Guess I'll have to wait for Pate.
We spent many a day down in the bottoms of the old Pate watching guys try to get out of the mud it was an adventure for sure.
Is there an area for cars 4 Sale, or just scattered around? Gotta pocket full of Ben Franklins, lookin 2 buy sumthin !!!!!!!
I wish I would have known sooner. I could have made this meet! Where do they hold the Pate swap meet now? I do remember the mud pit.
No longer the mud pit, now its the asphault jungle. Pate swap meet has been at the Texas Motor Speedway for several years. It's April 25th thru 28th.
Still remember going to Pate and paying $20 to a tractor driver to get pulled up the hill to get out of that old hell hole. But it sure was a good ol' swap meet.
I have moved to a new location this year. Row S Spaces 23 24 25 123 124 125. May be cold and windy but I will have a awning with walls and a heater. I'll gladly trade heat for a cold beer!
anyone see a good 49-52 Chevy car hood up there for a decent price.....get me some contact info or let me know on here.
