    Hey guys I'm new here.

I just picked up a 1960 Ford f100 truck is running very clean body i picked up in Turlock Ca and drove her home. I was looking all over for a 59 Fleet side Chevy when i came up on a picture of a 1959 ford i fell in love with how it looked like a BOX

I'm going to start a build thread on here some ware just don't know what i put under!

I have a lot of plans for the truck i just orderd the Front end from FATMAN mustang 2 front im going to bag the truck and i want to put some white walls on it.

I also orderd the rear from a shop called gambino kustoms called the Tail dragger

  7. Here is my 59. I picked it up last spring and spent the summer lowering it and rebuilding the brakes. I lowered the front with a Sid's drop axle and removing the bottom leaf and reversing the eyes on the top spring. In the rear I flipped the axle c-notched the frame. The rear was a too low and the pumpkin was hitting the floor and I didn't want a hole in the bed floor so I flipped the rear spring hangers to pick it up about 2". I saw several posts on here about how terrible they drive. I think that people are not addressing the drag link angle with the drop axle. It took allot of heating and bending but my link is parallel to the ground and this thing sails down the highway like a new car. Another thing that may have helped is a 6 degree shim that Sid said he installs in every axle install he does. It has 6.00x16 in the front and 7.50 x 16 in the rear. I think I am going to get a pair of 7.00 x 16 for the front at some point.

I am running a tired 292 with the factory 4 speed but am going to need to either rebuild it this spring or change out the power plant.

  10. Here are some updated pictures of my 1960 F100, its a slow moving work in progress.

Got tires for it finally last weekend so I can now roll it into the barn to start working on it.

kind of basic, but that would look great with black steelies and chrome caps, maybe just chrome lugs and rings, just my two cents. its a very nice looking truck!
