I didn't - just kept drying it off with paper towels. Also I was out there when the rain wasn't as intense. I did find out later when looking at the photos that a lot of shots I messed up with water on the filter that I did not notice when shooting, since I also had water on my glasses.

Thanks for dropping by Tom. It was great seeing you again.

Thanks for posting it Dave. Great minds ( or at least ours ) think alike. I really like the comparison between the lens difference and the coolness vs warmness of the color difference. Like Tom, I really like both versions. The guy who owned this really set it up perfectly for photos. No window tag or anything. I wish I would have run into you there. Thanks for dropping by the thread.

Thanks Carsten and everybody else. Your visits and comments are SO appreciated. It was a treat to see the Jack Stewart Ford and meet Palle, Jack and Rik Hoving. Needless to say, I snapped up a fully signed version of Rik's Book. According to Palle, it will show up at Santa Maria in white primer if all goes as planned.

Your welcome lucky ink and thanks for that very much appreciated comment.

Here is a group of incoming cars on Saturday morning, coming despite the rain.

Thanks lucky ink, N.Ozols and Bad Luck! Stay tuned - I have barely started.

I wish it was too. I love the pic in your avatar. I would love to photograph it for real... Congratulations on your much deserved trophy - or was it 2? The whole Suede Palace award ceremony is one big blur, even though I was there for the whole thing.

Congrats on both of them CJ! Here is another beauty sitting out on the remote edges of the show.

Damn, I was there and saw every one of these cars. I could not have imagined they could be made to look better, but these pics are amazing. You sir, have an incredible talent.

Well done, and thanks for sharing.

Thanks a ton Wide Whites and lenmann. Sorry this is going so slowly, but there are a lot more and it just takes some time to get them all done the way I would like to. So thank you all in advance for your patience.

You're welcome, Dick and thanks to you and everyone else who visits and comments. GNRS is a real treat - everyone should get to go. Please stay tuned because I have barely cracked the surface of all the shot I have yet to come.

Absolutely awesome work Dan! You must have a team of security keeping people
out of your shots! When I'm trying to shoot a car at a show like that, there's always
people around the cars. I wait for that clear shot, but even then it's tough.
    Really nice photos, dude!

    Thanks everyone!!

My secret is that I carry a multi shot starters pistol and once I am in position to take the photo, I fire off a couple of rounds into the air. While everyone else is diving and running for cover, I press the shutter.:)

Since it is almost dark here, here is a cool 56 Chevy wagon from last week at about this time, when it was getting dark at the show.
