Ok....so now that the show is over....where are the burnout pics? :D

  3. I really Dug this car & can't wait to see it again. Loved the use of early Ford parts & understated details. Was by far one of the most unique contenders in a long time, except for maybe this other car. Was cool to meet you sat night.

Trust me, the judges didn't even know what they were looking at, especially in the short amount of time they looked at the car. They probably didn't even realize that the split wishbones had wishbone ball socket cups holding them on to the fame....... pure genius!!!

I'm not sure which roadsters were the final two contenders, but for me it was between this car and Mumford's "T" and I'd find it very difficult to pick the one.

John and the crew took the time from their set-up time Thursday night to chat with us about the car and the history and to load us up with stickers! First class people and car all the way.

Hey John, if you do go do you want to cover it for the Gazette? It could help offset some of the $$$. I can't go because Scottsdale is the same time.

John - I keep going back to the photos posted on this thread and instagram.....still can't get over the details that you did on your car.

The floor mat flat out blows my mind......

It was great to meet you at GNRS, and we'll look forward to seeing you in Detroit.

I was busy setting up a display we made for the Farley V8 flyer right next to the Woodward crew as they pulled up to the judging spot.

The car has to be driven in under its own power, turned off while the judges do their thing, then started and driven off the carpet under its own power or else you don't qualify.

There were a couple of tense moments as they tried to re-start the car and the battery was getting weak. It sounded like it had about 2 more tries left in it before the battery was going to give out. At the last minute and with large amounts of starting fluid it fired up. The whole room burst into hoots, hollers and applause as it roared to life. John looked pretty stresses out but after he pulled off the carpet he jumped out of the car and was giving everyone high fives. A classic moment. I was lucky to be there and witness it.

    Thee Inland Emperors RULE!
