    Hey guys...

a while back I posted in the Photoshop thread. i wanted to take my 1950 ford club coupe away from the "style" the previous owner gave it. it was mega lousy looking and was trying too hard.

i started with this.. note the flat black and red wheels...

thought this jeep color would look cool.

you guys photoshopped it to a point where i knew it would work. now here's the car after paint. it's curing for a few days before the moulding, handles, and bumpers get put back on. i still have a ways to go. hubcaps are at UPS waiting for me tonight.

the body shop manager told me he thought, "what the eff?!" when i picked out the color. we both like it now. they did an awesome job. not a spot of orange peel or any blemishes.

on to Lazy Boy interior next.

    thanks guys!

am i crazy to think that my interior should be 2-tone, off white/burnt orange?

i'm thinking that could work here.

Here's my car as it sits now...

Yesterday, I installed a disc brake conversion kit. And the car stops AMAZING now. One of my better investments on the car.

Lowered 3". Used the famous 1990 Aerostar spring method up front. Custom leafs in the back.

Got a smaller '40 Ford steering wheel from Limeworks. Great quality. Got working gauges from a '50 Woody installed.

Had the interior made at my local Long Beach upholsterer. He custom made the carpet as well.

Next up is a new rear-end to get my non-overdrive car up to highway speeds proper.

Usually I'd agree with Williebill about the bumpers, but they kinda work nicely with the hubcaps on this car. I like it.

Post up the Photoshop pic that was done, and let us know who did it. Car looks great, sometimes a visual is all it takes to make the right decision.

  14. I agree, the bumpers tie in with the ripple caps. Looking good.

  15. Looking damn nice, bodywork, paint, interior, girlfriend, score 100 !

Thanks guys!!!! It means a lot!

    Thanks man!

The Briz bumpers were cheaper than re-chroming the stock bumpers that were in haggard condish. It was easy, so I rolled with it.

i would have agreed with your body shop at first look at that paint but gotta say, it works really well and it's different! also like the ribbed bumpers with the ripple discs. very nice clean, smooth, classy custom. well done.

Excellent outcome! And I thought I was the only one on the planet who didn't like Briz bumpers... but they do work well with the ripple caps.

I went from WTF to WOW in 2 pics. The car looks good and then you add the chrome and it goes to amazing. Hard to believe it was that black car in the first few pics.

Could you give some info on the brake package.
