Those were GREAT days in the 80's & 90's. We all made a lot of friendships that have been everlasting. Now we're all in our 60's & 70's, but still feel like kids when our minds eye looks backwards. You won't find a bunch of nicer guys on the West Coast then T Willford, M Strode, C Lytle's Blown Hell Willys (second to last photo), K Keller, J Coonrod, W Harry, M Svobota (last photo), and K Kudo Mr. VHS, and all their related friends are all the BEST people I've ever meet! MAGOO

A Special Thanks to Marty Strode for his incredible work on Willfords '33 Willys, and so many other projects he's built over the years.

    Ken,
It's about time you showed up here! It is hard to describe the fun and friendships we had back then, you and your beautiful Willys, along with your professional crew, were a huge part of it. Can't wait to see your Henry J, in person.

Trouble, Get a load of that roll cage! I question Tom's and my sanity for driving this one. I guess you won't see either one of us at any MENSA meetings. I will see Tom tomorrow, we will have a few laughs.

Marty let Tom know I said hello, that old cage looks almost the same as in the Oddy Austin. Scarry to go 155-165 in there My seats are like lounge chairs they are rubberbans for support, Jimmy would say " I was going 160 MPH sitting on a set of rubberbands & would just shake his head. You did a great job on the Bizio truck Jeff in very safe in there !! NICE WORK !!! Trouble

    Hi
Are these guidelines for 1/8 or 1/4 mile? Is 155 ,160 mph the speed your running? On the blower rules, is a Dankas superblower ok to run? Where will these races be held at?
    Thank you
    James

  16. Is the Blue Suede Cruise in Norwalk now going to have a race?

I know that the track was always open for cars to take passes durring that event but there was no competitive race. Has that changed?

    Trouble,

I love the later style AA/GS cars! The Opel GT's of K.S., Junior and Brad Anderson were some awesome hot rods! Are the Opels allowed in your group? If anyone enjoys the more traditional "Up-in-the-Air" mid 60's style true "Gasser Wars" style cars, check out our thread:

Our partial schedule is posted with many more in the works!

lol... All's fair in love and war...! I really am a fan of the later style cars too.
Would love to see some period correct style AA/GS cars like George's mustang and Jr's Kadet making exhibition passes, maybe even having a class for the later style period correct cars.

    Lytles Garage, magooz, vintagegasser,

I know that none of you know me, but I just want to say thank you guys for all the memories. I came out to SIR (Pacific Raceways) a lot back then and loved every minute of it. I've got quite a few pictures that I took back in the 1987-1994 time frame. Maybe I can get some of them posted up. It is a time that I truly miss!

LOL.... Can I bring my Big Time Memories to one of your shows? Thats right, it doesn't fit YOUR RULES. You really do play dumb well, plenty of experience for sure... We have over 15 cars registered to run with us in 2013, how many do you have? As far as index's, you can call it what you want, but your group is every bit of a index as ours is. It's called the NHRA chassis cert. You run at a NHRA track, your limited to the chassis ET tag, do I like it, no... but then again, I don't lie about it like you do....

I would think most AA/GS cars from that time ran a clutch. What is the reason for a no clutch rule? JC
