For those that dont know, I have a Frankenstein vibe with my '53 chevy, named "The Bride". Yesterday I came up with an idea to fill in the clock area of my dash. The clock was broke, so I gutted it and used the housing and trim ring. I mounted a Frankenstein head on a screw to the back of his head so that it appears to be floating. Then I wired up a switch and a LED to give the horror lighting from the bottom at night. It was fun! Ill improve it later, but for now, its pretty neat :)

    Heres my daily driver!

Heres the interior shot. I photoshopped together the Bride of Frankensteins head onto the naked body of Betty Page! Pretty nice sight while waiting at a stop light!
And I painted my tach face with green metal flake, cobwebs and an eyeball needle. Look!! Theres Frankenstein in the dash!

That's really cool, especially the underlighting.

  15. This normally wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I have to say, I think the disembodied Frankenstein head is pretty cool. It actually made me laugh out loud for real. It reminds me of something one of my friends would have done in high school.

some neat personal touches , the floating frankie head is a trip , the horn button photo is pretty cool , the tach has the look to , its funny but the front end of the car sort of reminds me of a monster with a big chrome toothy grin , searching for a pedestrian to gnaw on

Next time, make the clock work and then attach the Frankenstein head to the mechanism so it spins round and round!
