    here is a picture of what im mocking up, plan to do a floater, probably add some small lights at the end of the bar, and i have a 49 merc grill surround i cut out of a junker merc, so i plan to graft that around the floating set up. should be bitchen.

    Sure you have, its a custom thing. It means the grill appears to float in the opening. IE no mounting points are visible.

    I love grills almost as much as hub caps. Here is my floater; two '54 Chrysler top grill
    bars with a '51 Ford grill suport mounted on the bottom. '50 chevy blinkers mounted
    inside a chrome bullet.

    Here you go. Repop '53 Corvette grille with '53 Chevy turn signals mounted in reversed 2-cup measuring cups. (Yes, my running light housings are polished stainless steel measuring cups!)
