Let's Talk Cyclecars

Both of those use short cross-pushrods rather than long rockers and, as far as I know, separate lobes for intake and exhaust. Here's a photo of the Alfa's arrangement:

When I get the Airhead Roadster finished, I'd like to build something like this for my popsicle biz with a small chest freezer up front. Looked at this last year and it got my gears turning. Was used on military base. I guess you could call these cyclecarts??

You're right but the Peugeot motorcycle is... well a motorcycle, anyway I'm partial to motorcycle ever since I drove my very first one as a teen and found out in the first turn of the road it didn't have brakes, I never rode one again

 

The Peugeot ,in all reality ,is no different than a Morgan three wheeler or the marvelous BMW Dawie has presented.It's even close to a BSA three wheeler if the BSA didn't have front drive. Me ,I'll let the original poster decide...

 

This BMW (?) reverse trike/truck is bitchin! Any links, info on year/model, more pics?

 

According to my sources BMW made 600 of them in 1933 and 1934.

My reading of the first page of this thread suggests that it is/was not so much to do with cyclecars as with hot-rodded cyclecars. Whatever, I've given up arguing as it goes nowhere. At least it's something to do on long winter nights.
Attached is a non-cyclecar which we regularly see on our 1 & 2 cylinder events, which I think should be filled not with popsicles, but cold beer.
Ned - thanks for the BMW trike ... I was quite unaware of it, and coincidentally I've found that in Western Australia we have the makings of a Tempo Hanseat: a very rare import to this Wide Brown land.

But never mind, may 2013 be a blessed year for you all, may interesting barn finds come your way and may the spanner you need be always within easy reach.

Delighted to see the progress you've been making on the Jappic Ade, that is going to be a seriously beautiful car and a sight to sooth sore eyes.
As for myself I have done almost nothing on my own vehicle projects except find the occasional useful small part, but I hope to be able to do something about that this year.

Getting back to the discussion on Peugeot and BMW three wheelers, forecars and the like; considering the crossover between them, cyclecars and microcars (which have also had a lot of postings), I don't see what the big deal is. It's all interesting stuff and may generate ideas for our own projects...

I'm starting small with doing some overhaul work on my tricycle and once I've completed doing that I'll see how I go with getting back to work on my 20 Pound car project.

 

I missed Moto Guzzi on the tank, and it's an Ercole.
