Don, that is what I thought, that's why I asked. To me it looks like two cars. I don't remember the B piller of a crown vic or glass top having the Nomad look like this car. When did they make the first Ranchero? '57 wasn't it?

It's the roofline of a '56 Crown Vic. The '55 and '56 Crown Vic's have this body style with a minor difference in side trim. There are no Ranchero's prior to '57 which is a completely different body and side trim.

  3. Concur, it is one car - a '56 glasstop Crown Vic. Side trim and front wrap-around parking lamp is '56.

Not sure if this has been posted, it was on the Nat Geo website. Anyone know what the coupe is? [IMG]

Looks like 1936 Dodge to me - I mean the car behind the LEGS, in the background...

Who's she? Pose is like Bonnie Parker's, but wrong car, wrong gun, prettier face.

The sign also says "museum," consistent with a modern reenactment/shot.

Pic from the World War 2 era:

Meet Mrs. Josephine Smith, aged 84, whose hobby is digging graves. She lives in Drouin, a typical little farming town (1100 people), in southern Australia, 60 miles out of the Victorian capital, Melbourne

Thanks, John. So, it's a set-up shot. The site the link opens up is pretty vast. Though the "dog" shot is featured up front, it wasn't accompanied by any details:rolleyes: about the mechanics, timing or purpose of putting the dog/snow/'57 elements together. Did you find any discussion of this specific photo somewhere in there?
