Yes. According to the Kustomrama site, the purchase price was $82, 250.
    (And Ditto on the grille!)

  2. This truck was built by Tony Farnetti up in Idaho way back when. It is a little over the top, but that's what I dig about it.

A friend of mine (and Tony) told me a story about the truck. If I recall correctly, Tony was down in L.A. for a car show or something and got rear ended in it. I believe it was a hit and run, but I could be wrong. Anyway, Tony limped it home all smashed up and was determined to fix it. Well, we all know that Studey beds don't exactly grow on trees these days and he couldn't get another one. He had an Olds Toronado out in "the back 40" and had the idea to use the front clip for his new bed. Like it or hate it, you have to give the guy credit for coming up with a solution to a problem using only what was available.

Tony is a hell of a nice guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the KOA Red Rock Nationals in Moab back in '99. He took me for a cruise on Main street in his chopped, kustom '35 Ford taildragger and I've never been the same since. One day I WILL have a chopped kustom of some sort.

As for the Stude, it has been redone and is up for sale right here in the classifieds. Great truck, but the asking price is alot of moola.............E

Dont remember if i already told you or not, but that bed cover and the exhaust cut out is rather bad ass. Plus, i love that it rolls on cragars. It came a long way.

I dont wanna sound like a hater but as nice as the interior and paint are they killed it with those bed changes. The toronado bed is no more, althou its listed in the classified, and the exhaust on the fins that could have been made functional for max cool factor have been erased. Now it looks like "any other" custom bed.

I like it more. The reason is Because I thought the Toronado part was too new. Now can see this truck being built earlier. Way cool truck regardless!

  13. Here's a shot of a "truck" that I'd started building in my teens, forgot about for twenty odd years and have dragged it out in the past year. Still pondering if I should attack the goofy thing again?

I agree. My '55 is going under the knife with a chop, section, and molded-in Fleetside bed. I just don't see enough wild Task Force trucks anywhere I look.

Might as well throw mine in the mix. Semi-custom yet streetable although the ass end needs to come down a bit.
