I can't place this part?

    I have hunted all over the web searching under every term I could think of to find out what this is. Can someone please shed some light on what this is. I put the key next to it show the size of it.

    To me it looks like a water neck but I have no idea for what. I see the "BW" on it and the threads look taperd like a pipe thread. If you put "cast water neck" into Google and hit the "images" button, you'll see plenty of similar parts. I rest my case ;)

    The BW is Bendix-Westinghouse and that part is a discharge port fitting for a truck air brake compressor.

    It's a Plinkton Port used to feed coolant to the Hoover Slats.

    John Evans has it. I 've seen them in really nice cast brass, too.

    This one is brass, thanks for all the help. this was going to bug me until it was solved.
