Event Coverage Turlock Swapmeet

This is the swap meet to attend. Never went away empty handed. This time, will be looking for: '57 Chevy 210/BelAir body side molding, Lokar Ford AOD shifter, late 50's reliable truck, antique toys.

 

Agree, best swap meet in CA for real car parts. I am flying in to attend and be able to see a lot of my old CA friends all in one spot.

 

A bucket list item for me but I'll probably never make it. Been reading about it for many years.

 

Sold out as always...spaces are very hard to get, whom ever has the space gets first shot for the next year. Had mine almost 30 years now!..I'm gettin old.

 

Its a pain having GNRS on the same weekend and literally being stuck in the middle. GNRS on saturday, Turlock maybe on sunday.

 

I wouldn't miss it! I'll be draggin' a wagon behind me 'cause I need big parts...a '36 Ford radiator, early Olds speed stuff, and a Chevy manual tranny....at least.

Easy choice to make if money isnt a problem..................always choose the swap. You can see pictures of the cars at the GNRS later, seeing pictures of parts just isnt the same as buying them.

 

Just a little over a week until the big Swapmeet.

 

Money is not really the issue its more of how long i stay in LA with friends and how much I don't need more stuff in my garage/house/backyard/at friends houses hahaha. Last Turlock I brought home a whole truckbed full of paperweights

 

GNRS - Thursday (set up)
Turlock - Friday afternoon and Sat morning
GNRS - Sunday

I do it this way every year.

 

Turlock is a national Holiday, If you get cold, come by row J 60 to 70 an warm up by our Smudge pot. A good time will be had by all.

It is usually very cold . Last year was exceptional weather . We will see what happens this year . We are hoping for decent weather !

The last couple of years have been good, I think last year I even had my jacket off by 10:00 - 11:00 or so.

 

I'm not going to say what I'm looking for..wouldn't that make it harder for me to get!?

 

We'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday...buying and selling. Been going for 35 years...and wouldn't miss it.

I am hoping to go Sunday, Saturday is spoken for already with GNRS. I won't have room in the car for anything else big or any money left so mostly just to see.

 

my girl and i will be there sat. she wants a falcon! and im just digging through stuff till i find what i need! cant wait to stand in line freezing my a$* off to get in!! haha really the best weekend you can have! oh i almost forgot she wants one of those 3 pound bricks of french fries they sell out there too.....
