Quiet possibly more than you paid for the car if you bought it pennys on the dollar. I saw a '57 Chevy front bench seat sell at the Charlotte swap meet for 900 bucks and it needed recovering! Great score ,,Nomads are beautiful cars.HRP
And you didn't call me. I'm hurt. Front seats can be stupid $$$, 500.00 and more for trash. The 55-56 will work, but the backs are thicker than the 57. Great find, I'm over the pain, now I'm just jealous. Good luck. 62-64 Impala buckets are the "traditional upgrade" for those cars, btw.
wow, looks like a really solid car, what was the other nomad like? is that a 66 biscayne peaking out of the garage? great find.
your gonna buff that paint? pics arent the same as being in person but i think id just scuff and prime it unless you want to spend alot on bonnets whats the other nomad your brother bought?
Congrats on the Nomad(s). As already mentioned, the original seats/frames are pricey but lots of donor cars out there to choose from. Good luck and keep us posted with pics of the projects. Mike T.
I hope you poked around the property and out buildings. Those seats could still be around the old owners place.
There is an old guy near me here in East Texas that has 2 Forty Ford cpes(Delux),2 57 Belair HTs and a 57 Nomad in his back yard..I know him very well and he will never do anything with them...Dont know who will die first,,him or me..
Somebody recently posted a question about rear bumper widths, trying to get their bumper fitted properly. Nope, don't remember who, thought I would bump this thread in case some measurements may be found on your car. Sweet buy, loving it. All the best, Dale Cleveland OH
they make and sell new bench seats --i like 62 thru 65 buckets myself----great score i hope you enjoy it a lot ---
Very nice find. In the NW bench seats are $500.00-$700.00 for a rebuildable one. Please post some shots as it progresses.
Wow ! Were you wearing a mask and carrying a gun when you bought it ??? Just kidding---great score !!!
