I just read this thread from start to finish. BADASS! I was let down that there is not a completed nice buffed photo shoot. But I see I discovered this thread very close to the photos so I'll be anxiously waiting....top notch work and love the roof paint with lace work.

  8. Thanks Blake, I'm hoping to have the paint buffed out tomorrow, depending on the weather.
68 wagon is busting to do a full photo shoot on it so I better get it finished soon.

Any updates Binga. You seem to like the 10degreesC days in Ballarat to work in Gerald's shed.

  11. Still doing little bits and pieces, but now ive been kicked out into the carport so things are going a lot slower than I wanted..................

  12. Time for a small update.

After finishing up the wet sanding and polishing I finally put all of the shiny bits back on the front of the car.

    I also insulated the roof

    and floor

Ive also spent countless hours doing all the silly things needed to get this thing engineered like mounting a heater and demister and wiper washer bottle etc..........

Most of it had to be done before going to get upholstered.

Which leads me to this pic I took on the way.

Great pics mark looking forward to seeing you get to enjoy this mad pickup after all the hard work you have put in to it.

  14. I'm looking forward to somebody buying it.

  15. X Lotto c'mon..

  16. I forgot to say that I actually drove the couple of miles to the upholsterer sitting on the floor, upholsterer had the seat, and with only headers.
I can't believe how painfully loud it was inside and how hot the floor was above the headers.

  17. Sounds like fun! You must be gettin old... :D

Cant wait to see it finished, looks great.

  18. Whats that saying.........
    If it's too loud you're too old...........

It sounded awesome but the cab was making it reverberate so bad and that was with the sound deadening in the cab.
I'd hate to say how bad it would have been if I hadn't had it in .........

Looking good. I am surpised you need an Engineers report.

  25. Damn that looks good!

  26. Why??
Do you think that it would just go straight through with a HQ front end?
I thought any significant mod had to go through engineering.
    Am I missing something..........................

We were thinkin' of coming down Fri., but might stay home an keep an eye on the weather. Gunna be another hot day.
    Rocky.

  29. I'm glad you like it Simon
I'm trying to use Bisitecnics here in Ballarat if I can get them to answer their phone.

    Thanks Rocky
Don't blame you staying home, things were getting a bit hairy here last night with bushfires at Creswick and Burrumbeet.
