Today i cut out all the remnants of the floor and subrails. Kind of sad really. Every panel around the bottom of the body is going to need patched. Im waiting on some panels to come in, then i will get started.

Tim - are those UP pieces nice? I've been wondering how they are....especially since they announced the price for a complete body a few weeks ago.

  7. I'm looking forward to watching this one come together.

FWIW... I have used Dick Spadaro for all the sheet metal on my build. I know the subrails were UP and they were nice. I assume the other panels were UP also???

Check my build thread in my sig for a look at the subrails and panels.

Today I set the body on its new subrails and floor. Its going together pretty nicely. The doors fit good with fairly uniform gaps.
I took pics but will have to post them later.

Update: subrails, floor, and panel below deck lid are in. Body is square and the support structure I built has been removed.
Next steps: complete the floor welds and cut out body rust. I have patch panels from Tom Bay.

Looking good! Keep the photos coming after playing with the kids. Thanks for the tip on the rear braces off the K member.

  15. Nice! I was wondering what was your latest project. Looks like your work space is "a little" bigger than before, too!

patch is being modified to fit. It needs a lot of work to fit properly with the rocker panel.

    More to follow.

I sure can. I have used that thread many times already, thanks for starting it.

I will wait until I'm done with the body work, then go back thru my pics and post it on your thread.

I got the drivers side cowl patch welded i have today. I still need to go back and complete the welding. I'm happy with the fit after I did some modification to the panel.

I will post pictures when i finish the side.

I gather that these are to stiffen up the frame. Would they be used instead of boxing the rear of the frame? Up date: Checked the manufacturer's site and it says they are for roadsters and 3 windows. Any modification for your 5 window?

'32 Roadster and 5Ws have the same floors, so Steve's K member legs work with all passenger bodies. He offers two versions one for flat floors and one for stock, as stated above.
