Yeah this thing get absolutely no traction what so ever. Might have over did it on the engine. But it sure is fun!!!!
I got sick of the "when are you gonna paint it?" and thats a nice rat rod comments. So I Rust-Oleum rattled caned the damn thing till its gets blown apart for a real paint job. Looks like shit up close but going down the road it'll do just fine.
I know prob should have just finished it the first time around. It's way to much fun. I don't think it will come apart. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Congrats! Isn't it nice when you finally go directly to the very top of your "bucket list" and start work on your dream car? Your number 1 choice in cars? I saw the light several years ago and am now building my 34 ford 5 window...couldn't be happier!
Well done - many do not have the guts to do a car like you finished out yours ( I like the look very much ) - its nice to have a solid period car that can bomb around town, there is a place for the polish it up and show it cars, but you can't shake a stick at the true honest to goodness hot rods that are run around! Leave her like she is and put on the miles and smiles Best, John
Thanks for all the props guys!! Its has just under a 1000 miles on it in the last couple of months. Just gonna change a couple of things. Put a hood on it and make a Nimrod style windshield and then I think i'll call it done for a while. It sure is a lot of fun this car.
Nice car! Nimrods old car is one of my favorite hot rods built lately. If I build a 28/29 it will also have this look.
Man I'm slow...YOU are the guy that owns this roadster?! We were giving it the serious eyeball last year, may have been the same day of that burnout video in front of Squeeg's? Really neat roadster, and yeah, Nimrod's is pretty a pretty cool template. Love LOW hi boys!
Jimmy, yup that's me. Next time you'll have to go for a ride in it. It's a pretty quick little hot rod to say the least. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Love it! Of course, I'm partial to these. I'm in the same boat though, definitely should have painted it early on, I'm having a real difficult time wanting to tear it down for shiny paint.
Thanks guys! Alex, after seeing your car for the first time that's what got me into old hotrods! So I need to thank you for that. Brandi, I looked at your car when it was forsale down here. I kicked myself for not buying it for a while. But I think at this point it's all worked out great for both of us. Lol. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
It's a pretty nice little car, I'm glad I hopped on it when I did. Finally ripped it apart last week. It needs some tweaking, but I've punished it pretty good for the last 4 years and 15k miles... DAMN these cars are just fun.
